Pump size တွက်ချင်ရင် အရင်ဆုံး flow rate ကို အရင်ရှာရမယ် flow rate သိဖို့ over head tank size သိဖို့လိုမယ် over head tank ထဲကို ဘယ်နှစ်မိနစ်နဲ့ ရေဖြည့်ချင်တာလဲသိဖို့လိုမယ် ဒါကြောင့် ကိုယ့်တွက်မယ့် ဆ/ဦ ရဲ့ ground tank size ကိုအရင်ရှာမယ်
e.g 2U 4 S အတွက်ဆို 1unit မှာ လူ (၅) ယောက်နေမယ် လူတစ်ယောက်က တစ်နေ့ကို gal 40 သုံးမယ်

ရေတင်ရမယ့် အလျားလိုက် pipe length ကြောင့် ဆုံးရှုံးမယ့် friction losses တွေအားလုံးအပါတွက်ရမှာမို့ Head တန်ဖိုးက ဆ/ဦ ရဲ့အမြင့်ပေ ကို  losses အတွက် (40%) ထပ်ပေါင်းပေးလိုက်ရင် ရေတင်ရမယ့် head တန်ဖိုးရမယ်

Pump head &Pressure loss တွက်ယူခြင်း

Pump  Head  (သို)  Pressure  Loss  ကိုတွက်ယူခြင်း
ဟာ  Fluid  Flow  ရဲ့  သဘောတရားတွေကိုနားလည်ထားဖို  လိုအပ်ပါတယ်။ Hydraulics  လိုခေါ်တဲ  အခြေခံ  Fluid  Mechanics  ကိုနားလည်ထားရင်တွက်လိုရနိုင်ပါတယ်။  အလုပ်ဖြစ်ရုံ  တွက်တဲနေရာမှာ အသုံးမပြုပေမယ်  အင်ဂျင်နီယာတစ်ဦးအနေနဲ  အခြေခံအားဖြင်  Fluid  ရဲ့  Density,  Specific  Weight,  Viscosity တ ို ကိုနားလည်ထားရပါမယ်။  အဲတာတွေကိုတော  Fluid  Mechanics  စာအုပ်တွေမှာ  ရှာကြံဖတ်ကြပါရန်။  ကျွန်တော်ကတော အလုပ်  ုလပ်လိုရရုံပဲရေးသားမှာဖြစ်တဲအတွက်  အသေးစိတ်မဖေါ်ပြတောပါဘူး။ Pump  တစ်လုံးရေမောင်းတင်ရမယ်ပမာဏကိုသိပြီးနောက်  အဲသည်  လိုအပ်တဲ  ပမာဏအတိုင်း  ရေလှောင်ကန်ဆီမှာ  ရရှိစေ ဖိုအတိအကျလိုအပ်ပါတယ်။  သိုပေမယ်လည်း  Transfer  Tank  ကနေ  Storage  Tank  ဆီကိုဆက်သွယ်တဲအကြား  ဆုံးရှုံးမ တွေရှိပါတယ်။  နောက်ပြီး  ဒေါင်လိုက်အတိုင်းတည်ရှိနေတဲ  ပိုက်ထဲမှာ  ရှိတဲ  ရေကြောင်ဖြစ်ပေါ်နေတဲ  ဖိအားကိုလည်း တွန်းထုတ်နိုင်ဖိုအားတစ်ခုလိုအပ်ပါတယ်။  ရေကန်နေရာ  ရေပိုက်သွားရာလမ်းကြေင်းတွေကို  ပုံပေါ်မှာ  နေရာချပြီးပြီဆိုလျှင် ပိုက်အရှည်ကိုသိရှိနိုင်တဲအတွက်  Pump  Head  ကိုတွက်ချက်နိုင်ပါပြီ။  သုံးတာကတော  Hazen  William  Equation  ပါပဲ။
